A new survey of Indian professionals finds that job titles are increasingly failing to match pay. Nearly six in ten professionals say their designation does not reflect their compensation, while nearly 80% say title inflation has become common. Nearly one in three professionals who received a title change in the past two years received no salary increase or an increment below 5%. The survey also found that 57% of employers use enhanced designations to attract or retain employees, while 52% of workers would choose higher pay over a better title when changing jobs.
