GÖTTINGEN: 900 Menschen in einem Wohnblock – Müll, Angst, Hoffnungslosigkeit!Armutszuwanderung sorgt in vielen deutschen Städten für soziale Spannungen – so auch in Göttingen. In einem Wohnkomplex nahe des Hauptbahnhofs leben laut Schätzungen bis zu 900 Menschen aus Bulgarien, Rumänien und anderen Ländern auf engstem Raum. Die Zustände vor Ort sind katastrophal: offene Türen, Sperrmüllberge, verdreckte Bäder, Alkohol- und Drogenreste. Anwohner berichten von Diebstählen und Bedrohungen, Mieter von Stigmatisierung – wer eine Adresse aus der „Groner Landstraße“ angibt, bekommt kaum Chancen auf dem Wohnungs- oder Arbeitsmarkt. Eigentümer, Hausverwaltung und Stadt weisen sich gegenseitig die Verantwortung zu, während Experten warnen: Ohne neue Wohn- und Integrationskonzepte droht die Lage weiter zu eskalieren.
