North Korea's Kim Giving Drone Squad, Ballistic Missiles to Russia's Putin? Vantage on Firstpost |4K
For decades, America built one of the world's most powerful advantages: attracting the brightest minds from around the globe. But that advantage may now be under pressure. International applications to US colleges have fallen sharply, with Indian and other major source markets seeing significant declines. Tougher visa rules, immigration uncertainty and soaring college costs are pushing students toward alternatives such as France and Germany. The stakes go far beyond tuition revenue. International students feed America's universities, research labs, startups and broader economy with talent. At the same time, Ukraine claims North Korea is preparing to deploy up to 8,000 more troops to Russia, including combat engineers, drone operators and infantrymen. North Korea has previously sent 10,000 to 14,000 troops to fight alongside Russian forces in Kursk. Ukraine also claims Pyongyang is supplying Russia with ballistic missiles, including the KN-30/Hwasong-11, while Moscow is reportedly providing North Korea with advanced air defence and military technology.
The warning is clear: as America becomes harder for international students to enter, and North Korea deepens its military partnership with Russia, global alliances and opportunities are shifting.
