El 11 de octubre, el Ministerio del Interior polaco anunció que tenía información creíble sobre un plan para atentar contra el primer ministro, Donald Tusk, y su ministro de Defensa. Ese mismo día, cinco servicios de inteligencia europeos advirtieron a través del Financial Times de que Rusia prepara asesinatos en suelo europeo contra directivos de la industria de defensa. Desde el inicio de la guerra de Ucrania, Rusia acumula en Europa 141 ataques consumados y otros 45 planes frustrados.
