Lee Jae-myung es elegido como presidente de la República de Corea

Según los resultados del recuento de votos de la Comisión Electoral Nacional la mañana de 4 del junio, Lee Jae-myung, del mayoritario Partido Democrático de la República de Corea, ha sido elegido presidente número 21 del país. Alrededor de las 4:00 a. m. del miércoles, hora de Beijing, finalizó el recuento de votos para las XXI elecciones presidenciales en la República de Corea. Lee obtuvo el 49,42 % de los votos y su principal rival, Kim Moon-soo, del conservador Partido del Poder Popular, obtuvo el 41,15 %. Lee pronunció un discurso ante la Asamblea Nacional a primera hora de la mañana en el que dio las gracias a la nación y afirmó que su tarea más urgente es reactivar la economía y restablecer los medios de subsistencia de la población.
