Nach der Antike und der nordischen Mythologie schauen wir diesmal ins Land der aufgehenden Sonne: Japan. Und während Europa einige tausend Götter zählt, hat Japan einfach Millionen von Gottheiten namens Kami. Die wichtigsten davon schauen wir uns heute mal genauer an.
Denn die Kami stehen den griechischen Göttern und nordischen Monstern in Epik, Drama und Rachsucht in absolut nichts nach.Da ist ein Geschwisterpaar, das Japan erschafft – und dessen Geschichte in der Unterwelt endet. Ein Mondgott, der kaltblütig jemanden tötet. Und ein Fuchsgeist, den ihr wahrscheinlich aus Naruto kennt.
Wir begegnen heute wieder fantastischen Wesen und auch wenn keine Riesen vorkommen, wird es ein Fest.
