연말랠리 살아있나..엔캐리 공포 재점화
📉 올해도 연말랠리는 없는 걸까요?11월에 이어 12월 시장도 크리스마스 분위기를 내지 못하고 있습니다.
하지만 과거 10년 데이터를 보면, 연간 수익률이 플러스였던 해에는 12월도 대부분 플러스 마감했습니다. 올해 역시 연간 수익률은 플러스, 12월도 아직은 플러스 구간. 연말 마지막까지 지켜볼 이유는 충분합니다.
다만 이번 주, 시장은 두 개의 큰 고비를 넘어야 합니다.
⭐ 첫 번째 산: 마이크론 실적
AI 섹터에 대한 시장의 잣대가 한층 까다로워졌습니다.
오라클은 무난한 실적에도 냉정한 평가를 받았고, 브로드컴은 실적·가이던스 모두 기대를 웃돌았음에도 차익실현이 나왔습니다.
이제 시선은 마이크론(Micron)으로 이동합니다.
우리 시간으로 18일 오전 6시 30분 발표 예정.
이미 차익매물이 상당히 출회된 만큼, 기대치를 충족하는 수준의 실적만 나와도 AI 섹터 분위기를 되돌릴 ‘키 플레이어’가 될 가능성이 있습니다.
⭐ 두 번째 산: 일본 BOJ 금리 인상
마이크론 실적 다음 날인 19일 정오, 일본은행(BOJ) 통화정책회의가 예정돼 있습니다. 시장은 이미 25bp 금리 인상(0.75%) 가능성을 거의 100% 반영하고 있습니다.
문제는 금리 인상 그 자체보다 엔 캐리 트레이드 청산 공포입니다. 엔화 저금리로 빌린 자금이 주식·비트코인 등 위험자산에 들어갔던 만큼, 금리 인상 시 자금 회수가 나타날 수 있다는 우려가 시장을 압박하고 있습니다.
다만 과거 사례를 보면 충격은 단기에 그쳤고, 이후 시장은 다시 각자의 펀더멘털로 복귀했습니다.
