Bundesinnenminister Dobrindt (CSU) strebt direkte Gespräche mit den radikal-islamischen Taliban in Afghanistan an, um leichter Abschiebungen von Straftätern zu erreichen. Ihm schwebe vor, dass man direkt mit Afghanistan Vereinbarungen treffe, um Rückführungen zu ermöglichen, sagte er dem Focus.

Seit der Machtübernahme durch die Taliban 2021 gab es aus Deutschland keine Abschiebungen nach Afghanistan mehr – mit einer Ausnahme: Mit Hilfe von Katar wurden im August vergangenen Jahres 28 Straftäter nach Kabul geflogen.
