Schweres Zugunglück bei Viersen in Nordrhein-Westfalen: Ein Mann wird an einem Bahnübergang von einem Regionalzug erfasst und stirbt noch an der Unfallstelle. Nach ersten Erkenntnissen hatte sich sein Hund zuvor offenbar losgerissen. Feuerwehrkräfte betreuen die geschockten Fahrgäste und begleiten sie aus dem Zug. Polizei und Rettungsdienst sichern den Bereich weiträumig ab. Die wichtige Pendlerstrecke zwischen Krefeld und Mönchengladbach bleibt vorerst gesperrt.
