Penggeledahan itu dilakukan menindaklanjuti kasus dugaan korupsi dalam pengelolaan kuota haji Indonesia periode 2023-2024.
Menurut juru bicara KPK, Budi Prasetyo di Gedung Merah Putih KPK, langkah tersebut diambil penyidik sebagai rangkaian dari upaya pencarian bukti.
Rangkaian penyidikan ini diawali dengan pemeriksaan di salah satu rumah seorang Aparatur Sipil Negara (ASN) Kemenag Depok.
Satu unit kendaraan roda empat diketahui disita dalam penyidikan awal ini.
Kemudian tim penyidik melanjutkan penggeledahan menuju rumah Yaqut Cholil yang berlokasi di Jakarta Timur.
Proses investigasi itu diketahui masih berlanjut hingga malam hari.
Menurut laporan, pihak yang bersangkutan dilaporkan sangat kooperatif selama menjalani pemeriksaan.
Perlu diketahui bahwa kasus dugaan korupsi ini berpusat pada penyalahgunaan alokasi tambahan kuota haji 20.000 jemaah pada tahun 2023.
Menurut perhitungan KPK, potensi kerugian keuangan negar diperkirakan mencapai lebih dari Rp1 triliun.
KPK bahkan turut melibatkan Badan Pemeriksa Keuangan (BPK) untuk melakukan audit pasti mengenai jumlah kerugian negara.
Kasus ini sudah naik ke tahap penyidikan pada minggu lalu, Jumat (8/8) lalu setelah KPK menemukan sejumlah bukti yang cukup.
