Nos explica cómo el Pleno del Ayuntamiento de Sagunto, en el País Valencià, ha dado luz verde a una moción impulsada por la Asociación Valenciana José Martí de Amistad con Cuba que respalda la campaña solidaria “Energía para Cuba”, centrada en la instalación de una planta solar fotovoltaica de 196 kWp en el Hospital Pediátrico Docente “William Soler” de La Habana, centro de referencia en enfermedades cardiovasculares infantiles que atiende anualmente a más de 160.000 pacientes.
El acuerdo, que cuenta con un coste estimado de 190.000 euros para el período 2026-2027, incluye apoyo institucional, colaboración económica municipal, difusión de la campaña, recogida de material sanitario y medicamentos con caducidad mínima de seis meses, y cesión de espacios municipales para su almacenamiento. La moción expresa también preocupación por las dificultades impuestas por el bloqueo estadounidense, reafirma los principios de la Carta de la ONU e insta al Gobierno de España a mantener políticas de cooperación y diálogo con Cuba.
