(Agenzia Vista) "Mi permetto di rivolgere con particolare intensità un appello alle donne e agli uomini della Flotilla perché raccolgano la disponibilità offerta dal Patriarcato Latino di Gerusalemme - anch'esso impegnato con fermezza e coraggio nella vicinanza alla popolazione di Gaza - di svolgere il compito di consegnare in sicurezza quel che la solidarietà ha destinato a bambini, donne, uomini di Gaza". Lo scrive il Presidente della Repubblica, Sergio Mattarella. La risposta di Flotilla Italia - "Non possiamo accettare questa proposta perché arriva per evitare che le nostre barche navighino in acque internazionali con il rischio di essere attaccati". Lo ha detto la portavoce per l'Italia della Global Sumud Flotilla, Maria Elena Delia, in merito all'appello del presidente del presidente Sergio Mattarella di accettare la proposta di mediazione offerta dal Patriarcato.
