Iran Says 'No Decision' Yet on Peace Talks as Trump Ramps up Pressure | Vantage on Firstpost

It's week 8 of the West Asia conflict. A second round of US-Iran talks in Islamabad remains unconfirmed after Tehran said it has no plans to attend. Iran's Foreign Ministry accused Washington of lacking seriousness and cited the ongoing US naval blockade and the seizure of an Iranian-flagged vessel as ceasefire violations. Trump threatened to destroy Iran's power plants and bridges if a deal is rejected, while also claiming talks could happen soon. The two-week ceasefire is due to expire tomorrow. Core differences remain over Iran's nuclear programme, enriched uranium stockpile, the US blockade, and sanctions relief. Pakistan continues mediation efforts.
