Un drammatico episodio ha scosso Minneapolis, dove una donna è stata uccisa dagli agenti dell’ICE durante un’operazione. La segretaria per la Sicurezza americana, Kristi Noem, ha difeso l’intervento, definendolo un vero e proprio “atto di terrorismo interno”.Secondo quanto riportato, gli agenti avevano ripetutamente ordinato alla donna di uscire dall’auto e di smettere di ostacolare le forze dell’ordine. Nonostante gli avvertimenti, la donna avrebbe tentato di investire un agente, mettendo a rischio la vita degli operatori.“Noi consideriamo qualsiasi perdita di vite umane una tragedia”, ha aggiunto Noem, sottolineando che la situazione poteva essere evitata ma giustificando l’uso della forza da parte degli agenti. L’episodio ha riaperto il dibattito sulla gestione delle operazioni dell’ICE e sulla sicurezza pubblica nelle città americane.
