Kondisi Terkini Air Laut Pesisir Gorontalo Tampak Tenang dan Ombak Mereda, Tsunami Tak Terjadi

Tsunami dari Rusia yang diperkirakan tiba sekira pukul 16.39 Wita pada Rabu (30/7/2025) tidak terjadi.
Namun demikian Badan Penanggulangan Bencana Daerah (BPBD) Provinsi Gorontalo menerapkan protokol standar kebencanaan.
“Arahan BNPB langsung kami tindaklanjuti, evakuasi satu jam sebelum dan dua jam setelah waktunya tiba,” kata kepala BPBD Provinsi Gorontalo, Bambang Tri Handoko.
Pantauan di lokasi, ombak yang semula cukup tinggi kini mulai surut dan air laut tampak sedikit tenang.
Situasi ini membuat banyak pihak tetap berjaga dan tidak mengendurkan kesiapsiagaan.
Namun BPBD tetap menerapkan skenario dalam rentang waktu 1 jam sebelum dan 2 jam sesudah.
Sebelumnya gempa berkekuatan Magnitudo 8,7 mengguncang pesisir timur Kamchatka, Rusia.
Gempa ini terjadi di kedalaman 18 kilometer dan dikategorikan sebagai gempa dangkal.
BMKG menyebut bahwa gempa tersebut berpotensi memicu tsunami di sejumlah wilayah, termasuk Kota Gorontalo.
Warga pun diminta manjauhi garis pantai meskipun hingga saat ini belum terjadi hal yang membahayakan.
