Kompliziert, unübersichtlich, noch nie dagewesen – so könnte man die aktuelle politische Lage in Sachsen-Anhalt beschreiben. Die AfD hat haushoch gewonnen, braucht aber einen Partner. Es gibt Gespräche mit dem BSW und noch nichts Konkretes. Die CDU, der krachende Verlierer der Wahl, sortiert sich neu und versucht, nicht im Chaos zu versinken. Wie also geht es weiter in Sachsen-Anhalt?Darüber spricht Host Malte Pieper in dieser Folge von "Wahlkreis Ost" mit dem Politikwissenschaftler Christian Stecker. Er ist gespannt, wie eine AfD-Regierung in Sachsen-Anhalt, wenn es sie geben wird, aussieht. Stecker vermutet, dass die Bundesführung um Alice Weidel deutlichen Einfluss nehmen wird, um bundespolitische Ambitionen der Partei nicht zu gefährden. Vor allem aber geht es Stecker um die Brandmauer zur AfD. Die habe am Wahlsonntag auch zur Wahl gestanden und sei abgewählt worden. Stecker glaubt, dass die "Brandmauer-Ultras" für den Aufstieg der AfD mitverantwortlich sind. Die anderen Parteien müssten einen neuen Umgang mit der AfD finden, bei allen Gefahren, die das möglicherweise mit sich bringt.
