El presidente de Ucrania, Volodímir Zelenski, afirmó que, en una conversación telefónica con su homólogo estadounidense, Donald Trump, ambos acordaron que las negociaciones trilaterales con Rusia, previstas para marzo, deben conducir a un encuentro entre los líderes de los tres países. Zelenski aseguró que esta es la única forma de resolver los temas complejos y sensibles y poner fin al conflicto. La llamada se produjo antes de que los negociadores de Ucrania y Estados Unidos se reúnan este jueves para discutir la reconstrucción posbélica de la nación europea. Zelenski agradeció a Washington por su activa participación en el proceso de paz y señaló que las dificultades no son de índole militar, sino que radican en la voluntad política de terminar con la crisis.
