Festival-Auftritt aus politischen Gründen abgesagt: Alphaville-Sänger Marian Gold reagiert
UPDATE: Gegenüber der BILD-Zeitung hat der Festival-Organisator Markus Krampe mittlerweile Fehler eingeräumt und sich öffentlich entschuldigt. Auch der Weg für eine Rückkehr der Band sei demnach offen.In Hockenheim startet diese Woche das „Glücksgefühle-Festival“ in seine vierte Auflage. Mit dabei sein sollte auch die Band Alphaville, die mit Hits wie „Forever Young“ berühmt wurde. Am Mittwoch teilte der Sänger der Band, Marian Gold, in den Sozialen Netzwerken mit, dass die Festival-Veranstalter den Auftritt kurzfristig abgesagt haben – aus politischen Gründen. Er sprach er von einem „Maulkorberlass“ durch die Veranstalter. Gold hatte sich zuletzt im Juli dieses Jahres bei einem Auftritt in Hamburg gegen die AfD positioniert.
Die Veranstalter des Glücksgefühle-Festivals – Ex-Fußballstar Lukas Podolski und Markus Krampe – argumentierten dagegen in einer schriftlichen Stellungnahme am Mittwoch, dass die Bühne auf dem Hockenheimring allein der Musik gehöre und nicht für politische Auseinandersetzungen da sei. Das habe man der Band auch vor dem Festival erklärt.
