Meteorologists say hot winds, clear skies and delayed pre-monsoon activity are intensifying the conditions, trapping heat across north, central and eastern India. In some regions, even night temperatures remain unusually high, offering little relief. Health experts warn this can increase risks for vulnerable groups, especially outdoor workers and the elderly.
