Sebelum tewas, Brigadir Esco rupanya sempat hilang kontak sejak 19 Agustus lalu.
Jasad Brigadir Esco pertama kali ditemukan oleh mertuanya, Saiun di sebuah kebun yang hanya berjarak 50 meter dari kediamannya pada Minggu (24/8).
Saiun mengungkapkan, dirinya kala itu tengah mencari ayamnya yang hilang.
Kemudian dirinya menemukan tali yang ia pikir untuk mengikat anjing, namun setelah didekati ternyata jasad manusia.
Temuan tersebut langsung dilaporkan Saiun ke kepala dusun setempat dan diteruskan ke Polres Lombok Barat.
Saiun pun terkejut saat mengetahui hasil identifikasi jasad yang nyaris tak bisa dikenali tersebut ternyata menantunya yang sempat hilang kontak.
Dikatakan oleh Saiun, posisi jasad Brigadir Esco kala itu terjerat tali dengan posisi telentang miring di pohon yang terbilang kecil.
Sementara itu, seorang warga bernama Anisah yang rumahnya hanya berjarak 10 meter dari penemuan jasad mengaku tak pernah mencium bau busuk selama ini.
Menurut Anisah, kebun tempat jasad Brigadir Esco jarang dikunjungi warga karena merupakan lahan milik masyarakat luar desa.
Anisah juga mengaku tak pernah berinteraksi langsung dengan Brigadir Esco karena ia jarang keluar rumah.
Terkait kematian Brigadir Esco, Dirreskrimum Polda NTB Kombes Pol Syarif Hidayat mengungkapkan bahwa hasil visum menunjukkan terdapat luka di sekujur tubuh jenazah.
Namun terkait penyebab kematian, polisi masih menunggu hasil autopsi untuk memastikan ada unsur kekerasan atau penyebab lain.
