Um den Waldbrand zu löschen, waren hunderte Einsatzkräfte im Schichtdienst vor Ort. Auf dem ehemaligen Truppenübungsplatz ist noch Munition zu finden. Das machte den Einsatz kompliziert. Nach einer Woche kam der Regen, der Brand schrumpfte immer mehr und gilt nun als gelöscht. Vereinzelt gibt es noch Glutnester, die streng beobachtet werden. Rund 2000 Hektar sind dem Feuer zum Opfer gefallen. Das Gebiet ist gesperrt, "Brand-Touristen" sind nicht erlaubt. Wie geht es weiter? Sabine Schön berichtet aus Zeithain.
