TNI Berhasil Tembak Mati 3 Anggota OPM di Puncak Jaya, Sempat Terjadi Baku Tembak dengan Aparat

TRIBUN-VIDEO.COM - TNI menembak mati tiga orang yang diduga merupakan anggota Organisasi Papua Merdeka (OPM).

Penembakan berlangsung di Distrik Muara, Kabupaten Puncak Jaya, Papua Tengah, Selasa (16/7/2024) malam.

Kapendam XVII/Cenderawasih Letkol Inf Candra Kurniawan membenarkan informasi tersebut.

Ia menuturkan, tiga orang yang ditembak mati merupakan anggota OPM pimpinan Teranus Enumbi.

Menurut Candra, gerombolan OPM itu sempat menembaki aparat saat akan ditangkap.

Tak tinggal diam, TNI dari Satgas Yonif RK 753/AVT kemudian melepaskan tembakan balik.

Akibatnya, tiga anggota OPM berinisial SW (33), YW (41) dan DW (36) tewas di tempat.

"Dengan respons cepat aparat keamanan Satgas Yonif RK 753/AVT melakukan penindakan terhadap gerombolan OPM tersebut," kata Candra, dikutip dari Tribun-Papua.com, Rabu (17/7/2024).

Candra menuturkan, OPM pimpinan Teranus Enumbi memang kerap berbuat onar di Puncak Jaya.

Pada Juni 2024, mereka diduga menyerang dan menembaki seorang tukang ojek.

Lalu pada Maret 2024, gerombolan OPM itu juga membacok dua prajurit TNI bernama Sertu Ismunandar dan Serka Salim.

Candra menyebut, Teranus Enumbi berhasil kabur saat anak buahnya ditembak aparat pada Selasa (16/7/2024) kemarin.

"Teranus Enumbi berhasil lolos melarikan diri," imbuhnya.
