Cold wave and dense fog gripped the national capital and its neighbouring region (NCR) on January 17, bringing the visibility down to near-zero. Visuals show commuters braving the harsh weather conditions. Several flights were delayed or cancelled. A travel advisory was issued by the Delhi Airport earlier in the morning, confirming that the low-visibility procedures were in place for both arrivals and departures. Despite the prevailing dense fog conditions, Republic Day parade rehearsals were carried out at the Kartavya Path in full fervour. The air quality in the national capital dipped further to 'severe' category, with CPCB reimposing GRAP-III restrictions.---
