«От ю́ности, Богому́дре, жела́нием духо́вным в пусты́ню всели́вся, / еди́наго Христа́ возжела́л еси́ усе́рдно стопа́м в след ходи́ти, / те́мже и а́нгельстии чи́ни, зря́ще тя, удиви́шася, / как с пло́тию к невидимым ко́знем подвиза́лся еси́. / Побе́дными по́честьми венец прии́м, / моли́ Христа́ Бо́га спасти́ся душа́м на́шим».

С юности, Богомудрый, духовным желанием в пустыню вселившись, ты возжелал усердно следовать за Христом; потому и ангельские чины, видя тебя, удивились, как ты с плотью к невидимым козням (диавола) подвизался. Победными венцами увенчанный, моли Христа Бога спастись душам нашим.
