Korban adalah Pahman, warga Dusun Rantau Embacang yang dilaporkan hilang pada Jumat (7/6) lalu.
Jasadnya ditemukan mengambang di sungai.
Pelaku adalah tetangga korban berinisial SP (32), ditangkap Selasa (11/6) di sekitar SPBU Lubuk Landai.
SP nekat membunuh dan memenggal Pahman karena ingin menguasai harta, berupa motor dan ponselnya.
Menurut Kapolres Bungo, AKBP Singgih Hermawan, sebelum dieksekusi, korban dan pelaku sempat berboncengan mengendarai motor.
Setelah sampai di tempat yang jadi TKP pembunuhan, korban dieksekusi dengan cara keji.
Pelaku sempat pulang ke rumahnya mengambil karung dan plastik, lalu kembali untuk mengarungi sebagian badan korban.
"Dia masukan ke karung, dia buang (korban) ke sungai. Makanya ditemukannya di dalam karung itu," terang Singgih.
Sementara, kepala korban dibungkus plastik hitam dan dibuang terpisah ke sungai.
