We’ll look at its huge benchmark improvements, how it compares with Kimi K3, DeepSeek-V4, Qwen3.8-Max, GPT-5.6 Sol, Opus 4.8, Fable 5, and other frontier models, and whether GLM-5.3 deserves the title of the best open-source AI model yet.
I also put GLM-5.3 through real-world coding tests, including frontend generation and an interactive 3D visualization of an LLM's internal architecture. The model’s ability to understand vague prompts, plan across long tasks, and produce polished results seriously surprised me.
