Sidak di Tambang Emas Ilegal Buyat Barat Sulut Temukan 11 WNA China, Imigrasi Lakukan Investigasi

Sidak dilakukan setelah beredarnya laporan keberadaan warga negara asing (WNA) asal China yang diduga beraktivitas di tambang tersebut.
Hasil sidak mengejutkan, karena ditemukan sebanyak 11 WNA asal China di lokasi tambang ilegal tersebut.
Kepala Desa Buyat Satu, Chandra Modeong, menyatakan bahwa informasi keberadaan WNA ini telah beberapa kali diterima dari warga yang beraktivitas di sekitar lokasi.
Menurut warga, para WNA China tersebut sudah tinggal selama beberapa bulan di mes milik PT Kutai Surya Mining (KSM).
Perusahaan yang diduga melakukan aktivitas penambangan ilegal di area tersebut.
Kepala Seksi Intelijen dan Penindakan Keimigrasian Kanim Kotamobagu, Keneth Rompas, menjelaskan bahwa tujuh dari WNA yang terdeteksi memiliki Kartu Izin Tinggal Terbatas (Kitas).
Namun, masih ada empat WNA lainnya yang status keimigrasiannya sedang dalam proses pemeriksaan lebih lanjut.
