TRIBUN-VIDEO.COM -Pemerintahan Presiden Amerika Serikat (AS) Donald Trump mengumumkan telah memecat seorang diplomat Departemen Luar Negeri.

Alasannya, diplomat pria itu menjalin hubungan asmara dengan perempuan China yang terkait dengan Partai Komunis China.

"Departemen Luar Negeri telah resmi memberhentikan seorang pejabat Dinas Luar Negeri yang menyembunyikan hubungan asmara dengan seorang warga negara China yang diketahui memiliki hubungan dengan Partai Komunis China," kata juru bicara Departemen Luar Negeri AS, Tommy Pigott, pada Rabu, Kamis (9/10/2025).

"Pegawai yang dipecat tersebut mengatakan bahwa ayah pasangannya adalah anggota Partai Komunis China," lanjut departemen tersebut.

Departemen Luar Negeri Amerika mengatakan ini adalah pemecatan pertama yang diketahui berdasarkan perintah eksekutif yang ditandatangani Trump tak lama setelah kembali menjabat, yang memerintahkan semua pegawai untuk "menerapkan kebijakan presiden dengan setia."
