明明是想幫忙，最後卻讓事情更難收拾；明明想替自己爭取，開口卻先搬出「大家都覺得」；看到別人受委屈，急著替他說話，結果當事人沒有比較輕鬆，還得回頭處理你留下來的局面。很多人以為，成年人的成熟是圓融、熱心、願意替別人多想一步。可是，真正的分寸往往更具體：尊重自己的價值，願意為自己的立場負責，也把別人的發言權留在他手上。
這一集，我想談三種生活與職場裡很常見的「好意」：為什麼免費給建議，可能同時貶低自己的專業，也讓對方不必為改變付出代價？為什麼一句「大家都覺得」，看似讓立場更有分量，最後賠掉的卻是自己的信用？又為什麼沒有取得授權就替別人出場，可能不是仗義，而是搶走對方決定如何處理事情的權利？
我想談的不是三個讓你顯得更得體的溝通技巧，而是成年人進入關係以前，該先弄清楚的三條規則：建議有價，立場有名，代言有授權。
善意從來不是通行證。你怎麼開口、以誰的名義出場、願意為什麼負責，都在透露你如何看待自己、別人與關係。當這些位置站穩了，溝通才不會一開始就把事情帶往更難收拾的方向。
