RUSSISCHER SCHATTEN-TANKER GESTOPPT: Briten schlagen im Ärmelkanal zuGroßbritannien hat nach Angaben von Premierminister Keir Starmer einen russischen Schatten-Tanker im Ärmelkanal gestoppt. Spezialkräfte der Marine und Ermittler enterten das Schiff »Smyrtos« während einer mehrstündigen Operation. London wertet den Einsatz als weiteren Schlag gegen Russlands Umgehung internationaler Sanktionen. Die sogenannte Schattenflotte gilt als zentrale Einnahmequelle für den Kreml und transportiert große Mengen sanktionierten Öls. Die Aktion erfolgte laut britischer Regierung in enger Abstimmung mit Frankreich und könnte die Debatte über Sicherheit, Sanktionen und die Kontrolle internationaler Schifffahrtsrouten weiter verschärfen.
