PLO | Thủ tướng Hun Manet thông báo ngày khởi công kênh đào Funan TechoThủ tướng Campuchia Hun Manet thông báo ngày chính thức khởi công dự án kênh đào Funan Techo và kêu gọi mọi người "đừng đưa ra bất kỳ phán xét nào về dự án này". Ngày 6-6, Thủ tướng Campuchia Hun Manet cho biết dự án kênh đào Funan Techo dự kiến sẽ khởi công vào ngày 5-8 tới, tờ Khmer Times đưa tin. Phát biểu tại lễ khánh thành cảng đa năng Kampot, ông Hun Manet đã kêu gọi mọi người hỗ trợ thêm cho dự án kênh đào Funan Techo.
“Đừng đưa ra bất kỳ phán xét nào về dự án này, nó sẽ chính thức khởi công vào ngày 5-8-2024. Hãy ủng hộ dự án. Công trình này sẽ được xây dựng vì lợi ích của toàn thể người dân vì vậy hãy ủng hộ cho sự phát triển của chúng ta” - ông Manet nhấn mạnh.Trước khi triển khai dự án này, Phó Thủ tướng và Phó Chủ tịch thứ nhất Hội đồng Phát triển Campuchia Sun Chanthol cho biết dự án này đã được một nhóm gần 50 chuyên gia nghiên cứu kỹ lưỡng.Phía Campuchia cho rằng dự án kênh đào Funan Techo có rất ít tác động với môi trường, tuy nhiên một số nhà nghiên cứu quốc tế cho rằng cần thêm thông tin để đánh giá về khía cạnh này.
