Houthis pledge to continue attacks on ‘Saudi military concentrations until aggression ceases’

Yemen's Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Saree has announced a large-scale military operation targeting military infrastructure at King Khalid military base in Khamis Mushait, Saudi Arabia, using dozens of ballistic missiles and drones. He said the operation was in retaliation for more than 300 Saudi airstrikes over the past five days, which used F-15 and Typhoon warplanes taking off from Khamis Mushait and Al-Taif military bases. Saree claimed the missiles hit targets with absolute precision, causing grave losses and damage at the base. He vowed the Houthis will continue operations in the depth of Saudi territory as long as what he called "unjust aggression" continues, warning that any further aggression will be met with larger operations: "We will continue escalation to escalation and siege to siege." The statement was issued on 14 September 2026. The Houthis now control over 90% of Yemen's Red Sea coastline, including the Bab al-Mandeb Strait, a vital route for international shipping, and have warned that all Saudi vessels will be targeted.
