In this video, I discuss whether Christians need to support the modern state of Israel, either politically or with US military support.
I discuss Scofield's interpretation of Genesis 12, and contrast it with St Paul's approach to this passage. Unfortunately, many American evangelicals are under the mistaken impression that Christians have some obligation to support the wars of modern-day Israel.
I also discuss the impact of US foreign policy on Christians in the Middle East.
I conclude that it would be a disastrous mistake for Trump to bring the US into the Iran/Israel war.
