Nach den Gefechten mit Toten auf beiden Seiten haben sich Thailand und Kambodscha auf eine Feuerpause geeinigt. Beginnen soll sie laut den Vermittler:innen aus Malaysia um Mitternacht.Bis kurz vor dem Treffen lieferten sich Thailand und Kambodscha noch Gefechte, wie aus beiden Ländern zu hören war. Die schweren Kämpfe der Nachbarländer waren am Donnerstag an der mehr als 800 Kilometer langen Grenze entbrannt. Es gab Tote und Verletzte auf beiden Seiten: Die Zahl der Todesopfer ist auf über 30 gestiegen, darunter mehr als 20 Zivilist:innen.
