In allen Bundesländern: Erstklässler haben Anrecht auf Ganztagsbetreuung

Seit dem 1. August gilt ein bundesweites Recht auf Ganztagsbetreuung für Kinder im Grundschulalter. Es gilt zunächst für Erstklässler und tritt bis 2029/30 stufenweise für die Klassenstufen 1 bis 4 in Kraft. Zum Angebot gehören etwa ein Mittagessen, Hausaufgabenhilfe oder Sport und Musik. In mehreren Bundesländern gibt es schon verpflichtende Angebote. Für verschuldete Kommunen in anderen Bundesländern ist der neue Anspruch eine Herausforderung: sie müssen Kantinen, mehr Räume und vor allem mehr Personal finanzieren.
