Stimmungstest in NRW: CDU klar vorn, SPD verliert – AfD erreicht Stichwahlen in StädtenBei der Kommunalwahl in Nordrhein-Westfalen bleibt die CDU mit 33,3 Prozent stärkste Kraft. Die SPD verlor leicht und liegt bei 22,1 Prozent, während die AfD ihr Ergebnis auf 14,5 Prozent fast verdreifachte. Die Grünen stürzten auf 13,5 Prozent ab, FDP und Linke blieben einstellig. Besonders im Ruhrgebiet verlor die SPD ihre einst sicheren Hochburgen. In Duisburg, Hagen und Gelsenkirchen zieht die AfD in Stichwahlen um Oberbürgermeisterposten ein. Parteichefin Bärbel Bas räumte ein, dass die SPD ihre Kernwählerschaft nicht mehr ausreichend erreicht. CDU-Kanzler Friedrich Merz forderte Konsequenzen und einen Reformkurs für die Bundesregierung. Die Wahl gilt als wichtiger Stimmungstest nach der Bundestagswahl.
