Klaim tersebut disampaikan Kepala Staf Umum Ukraina pada Jumat (15/8/2025) saat Presiden Rusia Vladimir Putin bertemu dengan Presiden Amerika Serikat (AS) Donald Trump di Alaska.
Dikutip dari Barrons, serangan Rusia sempat menekan pertahanan Ukraina pada Selasa (12/8/2025), dengan kemajuan cepat menuju Kota Dobropillia.
Kemajuan pasukan Moskwa itu terjadi menjelang Konferensi Tingkat Tinggi (KTT) antara Putin dengan Trump yang membahas penyelesaian perang.
Namun, ketika KTT berlangsung, Ukraina menyerang balik dan sanggup merebut enam desa dari genggaman Rusia.
"Kemajuan musuh dihentikan oleh pasukan Korps 1 Garda Nasional Ukraina (NGU) ‘AZOV’, bersama unit-unit yang berdekatan dan bawahan, selama tiga hari terakhir," kata Staf Umum Ukraina
Menurut Institut Studi Perang (ISW) yang berbasis di AS, kemajuan Rusia pada Selasa lalu tercatat sebagai pencapaian terbesar dalam 24 jam lebih dari setahun terakhir.
Namun, perlawanan kuat dari Ukraina ternyata mampu membalikkan keadaan.
Sebelumnya, pihak berwenang Ukraina memerintahkan evakuasi keluarga dengan anak-anak dari Dobropillia pada Juli 2025.
Kota yang sebelum konflik berpenduduk sekitar 28.000 jiwa ini terus-menerus menjadi sasaran tembakan pesawat tak berawak dan granat Rusia.
