(Agenzia Vista) "Signor Presidente, onorevoli colleghi, in Italia, nonostante livelli di istruzione sempre più alti e superiori agli uomini, le donne continuano a partecipare meno al mercato del lavoro, guadagnano meno e raramente ricoprono ruoli dirigenziali. In compenso, sostengono gran parte del lavoro domestico e di cura, invisibile, non pagato e spesso non riconosciuto nemmeno da chi ne beneficia. Agli uomini spetta invece il lavoro retribuito, quello che garantisce autonomia, indipendenza e potere. Questo non è il frutto di una libera scelta. È il risultato di un sistema di potere antico e ostinato: il patriarcato. Le donne hanno lottato e lottano per cambiare questo stato di cose e il cambiamento avanza. Ma incontra ancora tante, troppe resistenze maschiliste, dentro e fuori le istituzioni. Un esempio recente è la decisione della maggioranza del governo di Giorgia Meloni di bocciare la proposta del congedo parentale paritario. Una scelta imbarazzante. Una scelta che la dice lunga sulla destra oggi al potere: radicalmente ostile all'emancipazione femminile e alla parità di genere. È proprio vero: non basta avere una donna a capo del governo per fare politiche in favore delle donne, soprattutto se si ostina a comportarsi come un uomo qualunque", lo ha detto Ilaria Salis del gruppo The Left in plenaria a Strasburgo.Ebs
