Il risveglio dell'Etna: attività intensa, ricaduta di cenere vulcanica sino a Taormina, Livello Vona quasi al massimo (di colore arancione). Il più grande vulcano attivo d'Europa si riprende la scena sul finire di questo 2025.L'attività stromboliana è continua e intensa, l'eruzione in corso è focalizzata nel cratere di Nord-Est dell'Etna, con lancio di materiale incandescente, che a volte ricade sul fianco del cono, ed emissione di cenere vulcanica.L'imponente nube eruttiva viene portata dal vento in direzione nord-est, e sono state segnalate ricadute di cenere anche a Taormina (che si trova nella costa ionica del Messinese).Delle esplosioni stromboliane sono avvenute, la notte scorsa, anche al cratere Bocca Nuova con lancio di materiale incandescente fino a diverse decine di metri sopra l'orlo craterico. Il grande vulcano è continuamente monitorato e studiato dall'Ingv-Osservatorio etneo di Catania. Dalle analisi dell'Ingv emerge anche che: «L'ampiezza media del tremore vulcanico permane nella fascia di valori alti con un andamento in leggero incremento manifestatosi dopo la mezzanotte. La localizzazione del centroide delle sorgenti del tremore vulcanico permane nell'area del cratere di Nord-Est a una quota di circa 3.000 metri sul livello del mare». L'Etna è un grande spettacolo della Natura che attira turisti da tutto il mondo. Allo stato attuale non vi è alcun pericolo per le persone e per le abitazioni, ma occorre sempre notevole prudenza, bisogna rispettare le regole -affidandosi ad esperte guide nella visita del vulcano-.
