Em sua última edição, a revista Quatro Rodas publica as reclamações de vários proprietários das Toyotas Hilux e SW4, relacionadas à corrente que aciona a bomba de óleo do motor diesel 2.8.E não é a correia dentada, estamos falando de uma corrente metálica, que mesmo assim se rompe e dá um prejuízo razoável no bolso do proprietário. As concessionárias costumam pedir até R$ 100 mil para reparar a bomba e os bicos.
Por esse problema que, segundo a fábrica, é provocado pelo diesel adulterado. Mas fica no ar porque só este motor e nenhum outro diesel sofre essa complicada e custosa consequência.
