MARINE-REVOLUTION: Briten schicken Roboter-Heli auf Russen-Jagd im NordatlantikDie britische Marine setzt erstmals einen autonomen Helikopter für riskante Missionen ein. „Proteus“ startet und landet wie ein klassischer Hubschrauber, agiert aber unbemannt und selbstständig. Mit modularer Ladefläche und über einer Tonne Nutzlast deckt der Superhelikopter ein breites Spektrum ab: U-Bootjagd, Überwachung und Logistik. Menschen überwachen aus dem Kontrollraum, können aber jederzeit eingreifen. Die neue Technik gilt als Meilenstein für die Sicherheit im Nordatlantik und für Großbritanniens Rolle im Bündnis mit der NATO – ein Fortschritt angesichts wachsender Bedrohungen nach dem russischen Angriff auf die Ukraine.
