Per una scelta autonoma, e sottolineo autonoma, ha provocato dei guai a due persone che sono per lui un figlio, Gomes, e un fratello, Ranucci. È molto affranto e le condizioni del carcere, che conoscete, fanno il loro». Sono le prime parole dell’avvocato Arturo Cola pronunciate fuori dal carcere romano di Rebibbia dopo il colloquio con il suo assistito Valter Lavitola. Il riferimento è a Clesio Gomes Tavares che sarebbe, secondo le indagini, l’intermediario tra Lavitola e gli esecutori materiali dell’attentato al giornalista e conduttore di Report Sigfrido Ranucci. «Abbiamo discusso dell’udienza al tribunale del Riesame che si terrà la prossima settimana - prosegue l’avvocato - e abbiamo stabilito che renderà di dichiarazioni spontanee». Tra pochi giorni infatti si terrà l’udienza in cui sarà sentito, in videoconferenza o dal vivo, Lavitola dopo il ricorso al Tribunale del Riesame presentato dai legali per discutere la prosecuzione della carcerazione preventiva.
