TORNADOS ÜBER DEUTSCHLAND: Bis zu 150 km/h – warum traf es Fürstenwalde so hart?Heftige Unwetter haben in Deutschland gleich mehrere Tornados hervorgebracht. Besonders schwer traf es Fürstenwalde in Brandenburg: Dächer wurden beschädigt, Bäume umgerissen und die Schäden gehen in die Hunderttausende.
Meteorologe Alexander Hildebrand erklärt im Studio, welche besonderen Bedingungen in der Atmosphäre zur Entstehung des Tornados führten. Unterschiedliche Windrichtungen in verschiedenen Höhen brachten die Gewitterzelle in Rotation und ließen schließlich den charakteristischen Tornadorüssel entstehen.
Nach einer ersten Einschätzung könnte es sich in Fürstenwalde um einen Tornado der Kategorie EF1 mit Windgeschwindigkeiten um 150 km/h gehandelt haben. Insgesamt wurden an diesem Tag fünf mögliche Tornados in Deutschland registriert, zwei davon durch Schadenanalysen bestätigt.
