Il cosiddetto Panzer tedesco sta aumentando la spesa pubblica, finanziandola a debito. Particolare attenzione viene riservata al settore della difesa, o per meglio dire, al Ministero della Guerra.
Germania, Bund in crisi di fiducia: e l'austerità?
Questo mutamento ha avuto un impatto diretto sui mercati: sono infatti aumentati i rendimenti dei Bund, ovvero i titoli di Stato tedeschi a lungo considerati come titoli cassaforte, cioè a rischio zero.
Ora, secondo Goldman Sachs, il rendimento del Bund decennale potrebbe salire fino al 2,8% entro la fine del 2025. Anche HSBC ha rivisto al rialzo le proprie stime, in risposta all’espansione fiscale tedesca e al calo degli acquisti della BCE.
Non da ultimo, BlackRock ha dichiarato che attualmente i Bund sono poco attraenti e preferisce investire nei titoli del debito sovrano di paesi meridionali, come Italia e Spagna, ovvero i tanto bistrattati PIGS.
Spread Italia-Germania: il sorpasso?
Nel frattempo, l’Italia guadagna fiducia.
La stabilità politica del governo Meloni, che si avvicina ai mille giorni di mandato con uno spread sotto i 90 punti base, ha rafforzato la fiducia degli investitori nei BTP italiani.
Anche Goldman Sachs riconosce che il rischio politico in Italia, al momento, è basso e che la situazione dovrebbe restare stabile almeno fino al 2026.
Le grandi banche d’affari, come Barclays, prevedono quindi un ulteriore restringimento dello spread tra i titoli italiani e quelli tedeschi.

E cosa vi dicevo anni fa, quando spiegavo che lo sfascio dell’Unione Europea sarebbe arrivato dalla Germania?
Tutti ridevano. Tutti parlavano della Germania come del faro del rigore. Ricordate? Austerità, pareggio di bilancio, tagli alla spesa pubblica…
“Taglia le pensioni, taglia i diritti dei lavoratori, taglia la sanità, taglia la scuola…” — questa era la linea. E invece? Oggi per fare i cannoni tutto è concesso. Nessuno parla di rigore quando si tratta di armarsi. Siamo in un mondo dove le tanto sbandierate politiche ESG — ambientali, sociali, di governance — “non si applicano alla produzione di armi”. Siamo davvero nel mondo alla rovescia.
