(LaPresse) La Polizia di Catania ha eseguito un provvedimento di fermo nei confronti di sei persone: cinque sono gravemente indiziate, a vario titolo, dei reati di tentato omicidio, porto abusivo di armi e munizioni, aggravati dall'aver agito al fine di agevolare il clan mafioso 'Cappello-Bonaccorsi'. Il sesto è indiziato di favoreggiamento. L'indagine trae origine dalla sparatoria avvenuta nella tarda serata dell'11 giugno 2026 nel quartiere San Giovanni Galermo. Gli agenti sono intervenuti per la segnalazione di numerosi colpi d'arma da fuoco esplosi nei pressi di un chiosco. Sul posto sono stati recuperati diversi bossoli, una pistola e alcuni scooter. Poco dopo, tre minorenni feriti da colpi d'arma da fuoco si sono presentati al Policlinico di Catania. Uno di loro, colpito più gravemente, è tuttora ricoverato all'ospedale Cannizzaro.
