Partai yang juga dikenal dengan Party of Do It Yourself tersebut diketahui dipimpin oleh Sohei Kamiya (47) seorang politisi asal Kota Takahama, Distrik Oi, Prefektur Fukui.
Sejumlah kebijakan Partai Senseito dinilai sangat berhati-hati dengan orang asing termasuk yang berlatar belakang agama tertentu, sehingga menimbulkan pandangan atas penolakan terhadap Islam meski tak disebut secara eksplisit.
"Tidak ada pernyataan langsung bahwa Sanseito menentang Islam. Namun, kebijakan mereka sangat ketat terhadap imigrasi dan keberadaan warga asing di Jepang," ujar seorang politisi senior Jepang kepada Tribunnews.com, Senin (21/7/2025). (TribunVideo.com)
