Convicting the innocent | Huckleberry Saunier | TEDxYouth@LIStGermain

This TEDx talk addresses the deep problems within our justice systems, specifically the rise in false convictions caused by modern forms of corruption and a focus on rapid procedure rather than truth. Huckleberry Saunier is a Seconde student in the American Section of the Lycée International de Saint-Germain-en-Laye. She is both American and French and has been in the Section for more than 11 years. She is currently involved in Student Council and theater. She is passionate about the pursuit of true justice, and hopes to study criminal law, political science, or a field that allows her to fight injustice and understand how the prison system can be fixed.

Huckleberry's TEDx talk will address the deep problems within our justice systems, specifically the rise in false convictions caused by modern forms of corruption and a focus on rapid procedure rather than truth. She will not only show that our flaws can be avoided but also that the solutions can be implemented today.
