Un dato che si inserisce in un declino strutturale avviato nel 2008, quando le nascite avevano toccato il loro massimo degli anni Duemila. Su questo scenario demografico, e sul più ampio tema del ruolo internazionale perduto dall'Italia, si è soffermato #GiorgioBianchi durante la puntata di Un Giorno Speciale, rispondendo alle domande del pubblico.
Lo stesso ha ricostruito il ruolo che l'Italia avrebbe potuto giocare come mediatore diplomatico tra Occidente e Russia, ricordando i rapporti storici del Paese con il mondo arabo e mediterraneo, e ha indicato nella perdita della "quarta sponda" libica l'emblema di un'autonomia nazionale ormai dismessa. Secondo il suo ragionamento, le classi dirigenti italiane, in particolare le aristocrazie industriali, sarebbero state progressivamente cooptate da poteri transnazionali, in un processo di cambiamento antropologico che Bianchi fa risalire al dopoguerra e che vedrebbe in Pier Paolo #Pasolini uno dei primi a intuirne la portata.
