Eine Woche nach dem Dreschen fahren wir die Bestände ab — und es gibt Licht und Schatten. Der Raps macht leider was ich schon befürchtet hatte: wenig Schotenpakete, nicht gefüllt, kaltes Frühjahr. Wenn man durch den Bestand gucken kann, ist das kein gutes Zeichen. Wir werden sehen was er bringt, aber viel Freude macht er nicht — schade, ausgerechnet wenn der Preis mal gestiegen ist. Die Sonnenblumen überraschen: unfassbar klein die Pflanzen, aber der Bestand ist schön homogen und die Köpfe sind groß. Und dann der Fakt des Jahres — alle Sonnenblumen zeigen exakt nach Osten. Warum? Weil sie nach der Blüte nicht mehr der Sonne folgen, sondern sich fest nach Osten ausrichten — damit die Köpfe morgens als erste von der Sonne angestrahlt werden, sich schneller erwärmen und die Pollen früher für Insekten interessant sind. Die Natur ist einfach absurd. Hafer ist reif und sieht top aus — ohne Fungizid, ohne Wachstumsregler, trotzdem kaum Lager. Den packen wir als nächstes. Erbsen brauchen noch eine Woche. Dann der große Moment: zwei neue John Deere 6R250 werden übernommen und der S7 850 wird abgeholt. Dazu eine ehrliche Einschätzung: Kauf, Miete oder Leasing — was wirklich zählt ist der Stückpreis pro Hektar, nicht die Finanzierungsform. Und wie Direktsaat und Lohnarbeit zusammen dafür sorgen, dass die Maschinen sich quasi selber finanzieren.
