WASSERKNAPPHEIT: 50.000 Euro Bußgeld, Poolverbot in München, teurerer Sprit? Deutschland muss sparenDeutschland steht ein weiterer heißer Sommertag bevor. In mehreren Regionen wird das Wasser knapp. Besonders der Rhein führt extrem wenig Wasser. Die niedrigen Pegel belasten die Binnenschifffahrt.
Schiffe können teilweise nur noch ein Drittel ihrer üblichen Ladung aufnehmen. Die deutsche Binnenschifffahrt transportiert jährlich rund 200 Millionen Tonnen Güter über den Rhein. Der eingeschränkte Transport könnte auch die Spritpreise erhöhen.
Der Bund reagiert mit dem Aktionsplan Niedrigwasser-Rhein. Bessere Vorhersagedienste sollen Engpässe mindern und die Schifffahrt absichern.
In 55 Landkreisen und Städten gelten bereits Einschränkungen bei der Wasserentnahme. München verbietet das Befüllen privater Pools und die Bewässerung von Rasen. Die Region Hannover untersagt bei Hitze zwischen 11 und 17 Uhr das Sprenkeln. Bei Verstößen drohen Bußgelder bis zu 50.000 Euro.
Deutschland verliert im Schnitt jährlich 2,5 Kubikkilometer Wasser. Die Grundwasserstände haben sich von den Trockenjahren seit 2018 noch nicht nachhaltig erholt.
